These programs help youth create aspirations for the future, providing opportunities for career exploration and educational enhancement.
Power Hour- This educational enhancement program helps participants complete homework assignments, both paper and online, and credit is given for every completed assignment. Copies of the participants report cards are made so grades can be monitored.
Junior Staff- This program focuses on assisting the staff with various programs, activities, jobs and tasks throughout the Boys and Girls Club. This includes work in the office and the snackbar, helping officiate league games, and greeting parents.

Character & Leadership Programs
Helping youth become responsible, caring citizens and acquire skills for participating in the democratic process is the main thrust of these programs. They also develop leadership skills and provide opportunities for planning, decision-making, contributing to Club and community and celebrating our national heritage.
Youth of the Year
Established in 1947, Youth of the Year is BGCA’s premier recognition program for Club members, promoting service to Club, community and family; academic success; strong moral character; life goals; and poise and public speaking ability.
Torch Club
Torch Clubs are chartered, small-group leadership and service clubs for boys and girls ages 11 to 13. A Torch Club is a powerful vehicle through which Club staff can help meet the special character development needs of younger adolescents at a critical stage in their life.

These initiatives develop young people’s capacity to engage in positive behaviors that nurture their own well-being, set personal goals and live successfully as self-sufficient adults.
SMART Moves- The SMART Moves (Skills Mastery And Resistance Training) prevention/education program addresses problems of drug/alcohol use and premature sexual activity. Based on proven techniques, the program uses a team approach involving Club staff, peer leaders, parents and community representatives. More than simply emphasizing a Say No message, the program involves young people ages 7-15 in discussion and role-playing, practicing resistance and refusal skills, developing assertiveness, strengthening decision-making skills and analyzing media and peer influence. The ultimate goal: to promote abstinence from substance abuse and adolescent sexual involvement through the practice of responsible behavior.
SMART Girls Program designed to help girls navigate the sometimes difficult path through pre-adolescence and adolescence.  It allows for a positive transition by providing information on relevant topics.  We will discuss such topics as positive self-esteem, healthy lifestyles & social issues
Healthy Habits: A Triple Play Program- Designed to incorporate healthy living and active learning in every part of the Club experience, Healthy Habits emphasizes good nutrition, regular physical activity and improving overall well-being.

THE ARTS PROGRAM
Programs in this core area enable youth to develop their creativity and cultural awareness through knowledge and appreciation of the visual arts, crafts, performing arts and creative writing.

Girl's Activity Time- An arts and crafts program geared to expose members to various artistic expressions
Music Waves
- A music appreciation program where members are able to share and discuss  the music that they enjoy with others.

SPORTS, FITNESS, AND RECREATION

These Club programs help develop fitness, a positive use of leisure time, reduction of stress, appreciation for the environment and social and interpersonal skills.

Triple Play: A Game Plan for Mind, Body & Soul- Triple Play, a comprehensive health and wellness program, strives to improve the overall health of Club members ages 6-18 by increasing their daily physical activity, teaching them good nutrition and helping them develop healthy relationships.
